Bahía Murta → Camp
You enter the native forest. The river can be heard in the distance. At km 5, cell service disappears. So does the world you left behind.
The climb
1,600 m of cumulative elevation gain. Your body tells you to stop. You keep going. As you enter the amphitheater, the towers rise above you from the valley floor. It is the kind of view that stops you in your tracks and leaves you silent.

You head back down. 42 km in three days, with everything taken care of. No crowds, just your group.

WHAT PEOPLE ASK US MOST.
Straight answers before you book.
You do not need technical mountaineering experience. You do need to be able to hike for 6 to 8 hours at a time carrying a backpack. There is no climbing, but the cumulative elevation gain and three consecutive days demand a real baseline level of fitness.
If you are unsure, message us before booking — we will tell you honestly whether this trek is right for you.
Everything: a certified guide, all meals on the trail, camping equipment, transport from Bahía Murta to the trailhead, and Garmin inReach satellite communication throughout all three days.
You only need to bring your clothing, footwear and personal backpack.
Aysén Weather Guarantee: if conditions do not allow a safe departure, you can either reschedule free of charge or receive a 100% refund. No penalties, no fine print.
We operate from October through April. The best time is November through February: long days, less rain and more stable conditions in the mountains. December and January are the busiest months — booking early is recommended.
Meeting point: Bahía Murta, Aysén Region. You can arrive by bus from Coyhaique (~3–4 hours), drive along the Carretera Austral, or fly to Balmaceda and connect by bus or transfer.
We provide transport from Bahía Murta to the trailhead.
Yes. Scheduled departures bring together up to 7 guests who may be traveling solo, as a couple or in a small group. Groups generally gel well on the trail.

Your booking is confirmed with a deposit. If you cancel more than 15 days in advance, we refund your deposit in full or move it to another date at no charge.
Force majeure cancellations are reviewed directly — we always aim for a fair solution.
